Chatton Fly Fishing, Large Rainbow Trout

While the trout fishing on the whiteadder is terrible lately i paid a visit to another favourite place, Chatton Trout fisheries also in Northumberland, they have three very well stocked lakes to fish, now theres nothing better than hooking a strong fit river wild brown trout but hooking into a plump trout here at Chatton is just as good.

The picture here is of the only fish i caught during my two hour visit but i was very pleased with it, it took me nearly 15 minutes to land it, every time i thought it was ready it shot off away from the edge, i didn't weigh it so I'll never know its weight, but i returned it back to the lake to fight another day.

The picture is of the Bronze Buzzer i caught the trout with, cast out towards the weeded area, let it sink for a few seconds and the retrieve..

All in all a good day out, highly recommend paying Chatton a visit.
