Due to the heatwave and lack of rain it was a trip back to Chatton for a bit of still water fishing, Chatton trout fishery is a fantastic place, three lakes fully stocked with trout, i stayed for four hours on the £12 catch and release option, it was a disappointing day as i didn't get so much as a nibble.
This lack of action wasn't down to the place or the fish it was down to my set up and severe lack of still water experience, as it was a hot and bright day the fish were down deep, if i had of gone later in the evening when the fish rise i would have most probably had a lot more luck.
Never mind i will learn from this and will be back to try again soon, I'm determined to have a good day at Chatton.
A seasonal insight to Fly fishing for Trout on the River Whiteadder. Records of how many trout and what fly was used to catch them, videos & photographs will also be added occasionally. Where is the River Whiteadder, Well it is a river in East Lothian and Berwickshire, Scotland. It also flows for a very short distance through Northumberland before joining the River Tweed.

Heatwave
No end in sight to this heatwave, should never complain about a nice summer, but wish it would rain for a bit to let the river levels rise a bit..Chatton is looking likely sometime this week.
