While i love Fly fishing for Trout i don't claim to be an expert on Fly fishing or the many different species of fish we have in the Whiteadder so i may need help identifying this fish, i think its a Salmon, and its condition?

A seasonal insight to Fly fishing for Trout on the River Whiteadder. Records of how many trout and what fly was used to catch them, videos & photographs will also be added occasionally. Where is the River Whiteadder, Well it is a river in East Lothian and Berwickshire, Scotland. It also flows for a very short distance through Northumberland before joining the River Tweed.

Since buying my permit for this season, only £35 from Gamefair in Berwick, i have only managed to get out on the whiteadder three times, all of which have been quite poor sessions so far this season, mainly due to poor conditions, first time was too cold, second time too windy, third time the water was slightly high and muddy thanks to the heavy rain a day before.
Hopefully Tuesday the 4th of June will be much better...watch this space.
